Print book titles not available or out of stock are automatically backordered and will be fulfilled as soon as the title becomes available. You may place the print book on backorder with a prepayment; however, the credit card will only be charged when the order ships.
If you would like to cancel your backorder please contact Customer Service to request the cancellation. Please include your order number, account number, and Purchase Order number (if applicable) when emailing customerservice@springernature.com. If you paid by check or money order, please include these payment details with your cancellation request. It will take approximately four weeks for a refund to be processed from the date you submit your cancellation notice to us. Please note: Credit cards are charged only when the product ships. A credit card backorder can be cancelled at your request.
